15 Grams Coffee Shop

The owner, Joe, of 15 Grams Coffee, hired Wyliewood Ltd. to over look the renovation of his new coffee shop in Greenwich, London. He came to us with a few ideas, hoping to create a 1970's aesthetic within his coffee shop. We took him through the process of choosing a nice rich varnish for the veneered oak panelling, went through possible colour choices with the paint and came up with a design. As project manager, I created the technical drawings for the countertop. The countertop was a 25x25 ERW framework, which interconnected using pre-fabricated plastic supports. We then clad this with oak veneered plywood and stained and varnished it to create this beautiful golden finish. We also added a suspended ceiling, with noise cancelling fabric, to help with softening the space and dampening the noise. At the front I designed a new shelving display for the freshly baked goods, and the packaged roasted coffee beans.
