Arthur Pendragon's Carnwennan Dagger

The design consisted of a 6th century dagger and scabbard. The project required a number of techniques including 3D modelling using Fusion 360, two part silicone mould making and casting using Jesmonite and resins. In the end we ended up with three separate weapons moulds; one for the hilt, one for the blade, and one for the scabbard. By the end of the project we would have one dagger with a cast resin blade, one with a metal blade and a full scabbard.

Prop making the automatic guns; Using a premade weapons mould, we created a metal central support for the middle of the Jesmonite guns. We then mixed the Jesmonite and added a black pigment, and added anchor points in the gun using screws, washers and rachet straps.

Refinishing the crowns, turning them from antique gold to an aged silver.
